Teacher Workshop

The Maya Book Project Steering Committee in Guatemala held the first teacher's training workshop in February 2020 in Uspantan, in a region that is a majority K'iche' speaking area. The objective of the workshop was to introduce Margarito's Forest to educators of the region and present the teacher's guide that is part of this new edition. The Maya Book Committee coordinated the event with the Departmental Director of Education in Quiche and the Municipality of Uspantan and included the participation of 96 educators from primary and middle schools. In total the books were donated to 73 primary schools and 16 middle schools.
